The Wedding

And the dress of the century was designed by Sarah Burton as I hoped (read: knew).

The lace, detailing a rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock to represent each nation of the UK was hand-made by the Royal School of Needlework, based at Hampton Court Palace.
The bridal train measures 2m 70cm.
Workers washed their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine, and the needles were renewed every three hours, to keep them sharp and clean.
The veil is held in place by a Cartier "halo" tiara, lent to Miss Middleton by the Queen.
The bride's bouquet is a shield-shaped wired bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth. It was designed by Shane Connolly.
The ivory dress is truly Kate- simple, romantic, classy, elegant. She looks very Grace Kelly.

Of course the uniforms were amazing.
Prince William wore the uniform of Colonel of the Irish Guards on his wedding day.
In addition he also wore a gold and crimson sash with the wings of the Royal Air Force, the Garter Star and a Gold Jubilee Medal, gold sword slings without a sword however. The buttons on his tunic, positioned in groups of four, symbolize the Irish Guard's position in the Order of Battle as the Fourth Regimen of Foot Guards.
As it was expected, Prince William opted for a military uniform, as he showed his interest for the army in the past, being commissioned in the Armed Services and Royal Air Force. The amazing uniform was created by Kashket and Partners.

Ahh...and there goes my chance to marry Prince William.
Who knew?
Oh well.
The wedding is truly amazing.
Congratulations!
All the best of luck!

Oh man. She gave me the chills. Thank you Aretha for this song. Thank you Amber for covering it. Boy, they sure don't make music like this anymore.

Truly amazing. Can't get enough of Glee.

Mask

Tahan ainult, mida ei saa tahtes.
Ei tule teist ja paremat maailma mu jaoks.
Ja ma ei tea, mis minust saab.

Mina, maailmalaps.

Oo, maailm, ole suurem!
 Palusin.
Maailm märatses ja oigas.
Ei vabandama tõesti sa ei pea.
Kõik otsustati väljaspool meid endid.

Loobu, meel!
Loobudes vabaneb võrratu sõnatu sära,
tuhaks saab valu ja viha,
kui on eest need uksed.

Sa vastutad kõige eest,
mida sa oled mõistnud.

Ma kirjutasin maha:
Meie elu on mõistmine.

A movie by Heleri and myself.
Lines by Doris Kareva.
The mask at the end was the inspiration source for this short movie.

From the movie "The Devil Wears Prada"

Miranda and some assistants are deciding between two similar belts for an outfit. Andy sniggers because she thinks they look exactly the same.

Miranda Priestly: Something funny?

Andy Sachs: No. No, no. Nothing's... You know, it's just that both those belts look exactly the same to me. You know, I'm still learning about all this stuff and, uh...

Miranda Priestly: This... stuff'? Oh. Okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select... I don't know... that lumpy blue sweater, for instance because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise. It's not lapis. It's actually cerulean. And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent... wasn't it who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here. And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room from a pile of stuff.

"Getting the wind knocked out of you is the only way to remind your lungs how much they like the taste of air" oh Sarah Kay

Today  I found her in the Youtube Spotlight. Be sure to check out her playlist also. There are some pretty awesome poets.

"I don't know if I continue, even today, always liking myself. But what I learned to do many years ago was to forgive myself. It is very important for every human being to forgive herself or himself because if you live, you will make mistakes- it is inevitable. But once you do and you see the mistake, then you forgive yourself and say, 'Well, if I'd known better I'd have done better,' that's all. So you say to people who you think you may have injured, 'I'm sorry,' and then you say to yourself, 'I'm sorry.' If we all hold on to the mistake, we can't see our own glory in the mirror because we have the mistake between our faces and the mirror; we can't see what we're capable of being. You can ask forgiveness of others, but in the end the real forgiveness is in one's own self. I think that young men and women are so caught by the way they see themselves. Now mind you. When a larger society sees them as unattractive, as threats, as too black or too white or too poor or too fat or too thin or too sexual or too asexual, that's rough. But you can overcome that. The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself. If we don't have that we never grow, we never learn, and sure as hell we should never teach." Maya Angelou

Betty

The episode with butterflies was my favourite

For me she symbolises spring. Whaterver people say she has some great moments.
It was truly a shame that the show got cancelled. I hope to hear more from the cast and the writers about the future of Betty.

"On April 16, 2010, it was reported that an Ugly Betty movie could be in the works. In an interview, series star Ana Ortiz stated:
There may be a movie. It’s something that we’ve been talking about and it’s something that America Ferrera would really love to do. That woman has so much determination that I can’t imagine anything she puts her mind to not getting done.[10]
On September 15, 2010, America Ferrera stated that she knows of no plans for an Ugly Betty movie and that she thinks "the rumor is well and alive— it’s always a possibility I suppose!".[11] On September 29, 2010, Entertainment Weekly writer Michael Ausiello reported that a movie is not going to happen.[12]
As of 2011, the British broadcaster Channel 4 announced that it is considering plans to create a spin-off series of Ugly Betty following a more successful trend compared to the USA ratings." Wikipedia

"I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear"

If you could have dinner with anyone, alive or dead, who would you choose?

Freddie Mercury. For sure.

"I don't dress for anybody else. I dress for myself. And if somebody doesn't like what I'm wearing I don't give a shit." Love this video.
